The Neighboring Movement is a growing nonprofit organization on a mission to change the world by teaching people the lost art of ‘neighboring.’ Their credibility and traction were beginning to grow, opportunities to expand were beginning to present themselves, but their brand was doing them no favors.
They approached Counterpart Strategies to help them develop a more professional presence. We went through an extensive brand discovery to clarify their identity and message as an organization overall. We also developed clarity around the ideal target audiences and messages for each of their programs.
With the foundations in place, Counterpart’s team designed a logo and visual brand identity platform for The Neighboring Movement. The goal was to capture the vibrancy of its programming and the joy and energy of communities developed through neighboring. Their new visual language is personal, professional and inviting. It has a friendly approachability in keeping with The Neighboring Movement’s grassroots values.
This was the first time that The Neighboring Movement took a comprehensive approach to it’s identity, and it evokes community and abundance visually. The brand mark is distinguished in its category and makes them more recognizable and memorable.
Because we worked with Counterpart we are more energized, more prepared, and more aligned to our mission than ever before. It has become clear that the value created by this process will be worth far more than the financial investment we made. Elizabeth is a deep listener and has used those skills to create a fabulous looking brand, and even more importantly, help us align our priorities and goals as a team.
Working with Counterpart has been such a wonderful and joyful experience! I am particularly impressed with Elizabeth’s ability to listen carefully, and ask such insightful and clarifying questions. In many ways, she has ‘heard’ our non-profit organization into a better place of understanding ourselves and the impact we hope to make. The creation of our brand was beyond my expectations.
